MEET THE THERAPIST

It is my intention to provide our clients with a professional and therapeutic session. We promise to serve each client with integrity, ethical principles and respect. In our commitment to provide a unique and outstanding experience to all of our clients,  we have adopted the following policies to serve as a guide for first-time and regular clients of Naturally Kneaded Therapeutic and Holistic Massage PLLC.

At Naturally Kneaded, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone's life. Unforeseen circumstances such as last-minute obligations, illness, and vehicle trouble, are just a few reasons one might consider canceling a session.

ARRIVAL TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please arrive on time for your therapy sessions. If you are a new client, please arrive at your appointment at least 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time for intake and treatment plans. This will also grant you the time for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service(s) will be shortened in order to keep on schedule. No full or partial refunds will be given.

Please provide at least 12 hours' notice if you need to reschedule, cancel an appointment, or reduce your appointment hours. This gives us enough time to fill this time slot. If you fail to cancel prior to 3 hours of your appointment slot or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged full price. 

All clients must provide at least 12 hours' notice if you need to reschedule, cancel, or modify your appointment in any way.

If you fail to cancel or modify your appointment 12 hours before your appointment, but you give more than 6 hours' notice, a $10.00 fee will be charged to your credit card. Full refunds will not be provided.

Cancellations or appointment modifications with less than 3 hours' notice will be charged the full fee for services. No refunds will be provided for deposits, or cancellations received less than 2 hours before a scheduled appointment.

Additionally, events with four or more clients will be charged a 50% non-refundable fee for any cancellation or reduction in hours, no matter how much notice is given. An event is defined as anything a client books with us, even if it is multiple locations or dates. All practitioners scheduled do not have to be working at the same site or the same shift for this 50% fee policy to apply. 

To protect you, other clients, and our staff, we reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who are showing outward signs of illness, intoxication, or recreational drug use.

We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled appointments. In exceptional cases, and when the schedule allows, we may accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.

Clients who fail to show for appointments will not be given a full or partial refund. It is essential that our practitioner is compensated for reserved time slots.

Payments for services are due at the end of the session on the day of service.

A valid credit card is required to be on file in order to book your services, no matter the payment method used to purchase the massage services.

For events over $150, we require a 50% deposit prior to your event/session to schedule services.

If paying by check, checks must be received 48 hours prior to your scheduled event to receive services.

Late payments for events are subject to a $30 late fee after the first 24 hours, and a $20 fee for every two days thereafter.

The fee for returned checks will be a $100 additional fee applied to your outstanding invoice.

If the client cancels onsite service for inclement weather, no fee will be charged to the client as long as the session/event is rescheduled for a future date AND meets the National Weather Service definition of a "Dangerous Weather Event." To qualify for having the fee waived, NOAA & The National Weather Service should have issued a Storm Warning either during the day of the session/event or in advance of a scheduled event (ex. the expected Hurricane path). You can check warnings at https://www.weather.gov/.

Naturally Kneaded Therapeutic and Holistic Massage PLLC reserves the right to cancel an event in the case of inclement weather if it jeopardizes the safety of the practitioner.

Prior to each session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with us, you will receive an electronic copy of the policies and will be asked to electronically sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional policies and procedures.

Naturally Kneaded Therapeutic and Holistic Massage PLLC practitioner is a licensed professional and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and her respective licensing and certification agencies for professional services.

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques and may apply adjunctive therapies to affect the health and well-being of the client positively.

I, Ashley Carr-Wells, licensed massage therapist, do not diagnose or prescribe medical conditions, nor am I allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow the recommendations of your physician.

Other wellness services such as personal training, nutrition consulting, yoga, life coaching, and guided meditation may involve instruction to apply manual techniques or movements and may apply adjunctive therapies to affect the health and well-being of the client positively.

Please consult with a physician prior to beginning any exercise program.

To ensure the quality of a great session I will be happy to adjust pressure, musical volume, work longer on an area, or move on if you request it.

The client may choose to refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time, and is free to leave.

Requests for sexual activity of any kind – onsite or virtual – will not be tolerated, behaviors as such will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs.

The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. A professional distance will be maintained from these areas. Also, the low back, hip & gluteal region will be massaged only on request.

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the practitioner is NEVER appropriate and is EXTREMELY FORBIDDEN. 

Here at Naturally Kneaded, we take great pride in our clients. There is ZERO tolerance for any explicit language, behaviors, or sexual conduct. 

****NO THERE ARE NO HAPPY ENDINGS, SO NO NEED TO ASK!

The discussions between the practitioner and the client are confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the session.

I am happy to listen to your conversation and share my professional expertise. However, I prefer not to discuss topics of political, private, or sexual nature.

It is the client's responsibility to keep the practitioner informed of any medical treatment currently being taken and provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. that the onsite massage may be continued.

The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

HIPPA is strongly enforced here at Naturally Kneaded Therapeutic and Holistic Massage PLLC. No information regarding client's health information, appointments, or sessions will be shared or discussed with ANYONE without proper written and signed consent from the client. All documentation and agreements (written or verbally obtained by Naturally Kneaded) are private rights between the client and practitioner. 

All clients have a right to their records. However, phone calls, text messages, emails, etc. will not be granted for records' requests. A 12-hour minimum notice is required for a scheduled in-person pickup of records.
